The Lighthouse of Alexandria
Alexandria was the most important city in the Roman Empire besides Rome itself in the days of Jesus. A major city of trade, commerce, and culture, it was originally founded by Alexander the Great, the Greek who conquered much of the ancient world, and went on to be a major center of early Christianity. It is perhaps most famous for the iconic Lighthouse of Alexandria. The art team at RevelationMedia has been building a 3D animation of both the lighthouse and the surrounding city to feature in the upcoming iBIBLE Life of Christ, the next installment of the world’s very first visual and interactive Bible!
This first image depicts the lighthouse itself out on the water, since Alexandria was (and remains) a coastal city.
This next image shows a view of the city from the docks.
Finally, check out this overarching view of the city and the lighthouse, standing grandly out on the water.
Thank you for your continued support of iBIBLE, the world’s first visual and interactive presentation of the Grand Narrative of Scripture. The Bible is one coherent story that culminates in Jesus. We are seeking to animate this narrative and make it free, accessible, and translated in as many languages as possible. Your support makes all of this possible!
