Sneak Peek of iBIBLE Life of Christ Episode 5
RevelationMedia is continuing to design settings and people for our new 3D-animated installment of iBIBLE called Life of Christ. The first three episodes are available now to watch at www.i.BIBLE!
This week, learn more about the creation of a scene for iBIBLE Life of Christ Episode 5 through a look at how our artists and animators use research to meticulously craft each element of the story. Each scene of iBIBLE is carefully researched and designed piece-by-piece to be as accurate and engaging as possible.
This first image shows the preliminary storyboarding for this scene, including a man walking by Joseph and others talking by a fire pit. This is the man who gives Joseph the news that a different king is in power, making him wary of moving back to Bethlehem (which was near Jerusalem); instead, he goes to Nazareth. Storyboarding is crucial for creating scenes and for cohesive storylines.
In these images, you can see the edits from the lead animator on aspects of the animation. These include placements of people’s hands and bodies, as well as costume pieces and rocks. The goal of the 3D animation is for the figures, settings, and costumes to look as realistic as possible.
Lastly, in the GIF below you can see a fly-through of the group discussing the news presented to them by the fire. All of the edits from above are fixed in this view, and this is one of the final drafts of the scene. Some smaller things like background item placement may be fixed in final edits.
